Malcolm Dowden is a Legal Director at Bond Dickinson LLP (soon to be Womble Bond Dickinson). Qualified in 1994, Malcolm has extensive experience of commercial and regulatory matters in the UK and overseas, including the GCC, India and South-East Asia. In his current role, Malcolm is closely involved with projects designed to deliver enhanced efficiency in transactional... and advisory work. He also advises clients on contractual risk management issues. In each context, identifying areas of unmanaged risk or vulnerability requires a focus not just on technology, but also on human behaviours which can be the weakest link in any system.
Sam Alderman-Miller has been an account manager with Darktrace since 2015, operating both in the UK and in Europe. During this time, he has given a number of talks and presentations on Darktrace, including their Industrial Immune System, Darktrace’s ICS security tool. He has hosted a number of functions in this role and also given technical demonstrations of the Darktrace... technology, both in the UK and Europe. Sam has experience working with both national and international clients, as well as within the public and private sectors. Prior to Darktrace, Sam worked in Housing, where he managed approximately 850 social housing properties on behalf of a local authority. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Southampton.
Tim has developed, implemented and maintained the Information Security Programme across Bird & Bird LLP, certifying the whole firm to ISO27001 within three years. This programme encompasses a wide range of activities, from risk management to security awareness; policy & process to internal audit. A significant part of his work is engaging with clients on their information... security needs, contributing to pitches and managing on site client audits. Many of the programme development drivers are due to client demands and expectations, and these enable the firm to operate in an increasingly challenging world when it comes to cyber security
David joined Kaspersky Lab in 2004. He is a member of the company's Global Research and Analysis Team and has worked in the anti-malware industry since 1990 in a variety of roles, including that of Senior Technology Consultant at Dr Solomon's Software, and Systems Engineer and Product Manager at McAfee. In his current role, David regularly delivers presentations... on malware and other IT security threats at industry events, highlighting what organisations and consumers can do to stay safe online. He also provides comment to broadcast and print media on the ever-changing cyber-security and threat landscape. David has a strong interest in malware, ID theft and the human aspects of security, and is a knowledgeable advisor on all aspects of online security. David is regularly mentioned in national print press as a cyber-security expert and has a wealth of experience in being filmed for such programmes as Good Morning Britain and BBC News.
Frank is a communicator, lover of trivia and promoter of better cybersecurity. He doesn’t like the words GDPR, Blockchain or AI. “I’ve been in IT and information security my entire professional life and I am still blown away by the power of the internet and technology but frustrated by how easily it can be exploited by bad people. Mary Kusalic-Murphy has been a lawyer with the London office of Latham & Watkins for over 10 years, initially as an associate within the firm’s Technology Transactions Group where her practice focused on outsourcing, technology and data protection matters. In 2013 Ms Kusalic-Murphy transitioned to the firm’s Office of General Counsel and became their first Global... Data Privacy Officer. Her current role’s focus is on guiding the firm through the complex matrix of global privacy laws, including its implementation of Binding Corporate Rules and readiness for GDPR. She also works closely with the firm’s Information Security Officer and Director of Security and Risk Management to ensure data integrity and security and business resilience across the firm.
Matt Little is the CTO at ZoneFox after previously working in the hi-tech software, consultancy and financial services sectors for over 15 years. He has a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science, and with his experience he brings a strong strategic and management focus to the engineering team.
As a Principal Solutions Architect at eSentire, Joe works with clients to cost-effectively remediate regulatory, compliance and information assurance issues. Previously, Joe was a product manager for threat intelligence at a Gartner Leading MSSP, where he focused on developing approaches to intelligence consolidation, curation, distribution and application. Joe is a long time CISSP, and he holds a BSc in Telecommunications Management as well as a Henley Business School MBA.
Ewen O'Brien is Head of EMEA at BitSight Technologies. Prior to joining BitSight, Ewen was part of the founding team in OpenPages EMEA, the market leading Governance, Risk and Compliance solution, that was acquired by IBM in 2012. He headed up financial services, where he helped expand the business, most notably in Europe, Africa and Asia.
Justine Sacarello is a Director and Head of Legal Change & Delivery at Lloyds Banking Group, a position she has held since 2016. Before that, she built up a wealth of senior experience in the financial services as Head of Legal and Regulatory Change at Barclays. Previous to her in-house experience Justine held a number of senior positions at internationally established... law firms. This has given her valuable expertise in from both the legal practitioner and in-house legal change perspective. Justine is passionate about issues regarding data protection and implementing regulatory change as an effective aspect of corporate governance
John is an established Information Technology trainer, with many years experience in Further and Higher Education and training in both the private and the public sector. He has been integral in the implementation of the Bank of England’s current security training programme, and is focused on the transition from passive compliance to active security.
Dr. Rois Ni Thuama LLB LLM PhD has worked with technology and new ventures since 2002 including Sakhalin Energy Investment Company (a Shell, Mitsubishi, Mitsui joint venture), Credit Suisse First Boston (now Credit Suisse), Armstrong & Cavendish, IAS Medical. She worked together with software developers and FTSE 350 clients to understand their engagement needs. As well... as delivering seminars at undergraduate and post graduate levels, she works with OnDMARC to address pressing cybersecurity issues. Her academic interests include Corporate Governance, IT Governance, Cyber Crime, Cybersecurity, Law and Technology.

David recently joined Dentons in the role of IT Security and Governance Manager, where he manages both operational security for the UK and Middle east, as well as co-chairing the centre of Excellence for Information Governance and Compliance globally.
