The content of the presentations was thought provoking and well delivered. I have taken away some valuable points which I will raise for follow up. I also took the opportunity to meet vendors and talk to delegates from other law firms!

I would recommend this event to any law firm serious about maintaining their privileged client relationships in the 21st Century.

About Securing the Law Firm
Securing the Law Firm is the unrivalled gathering of the most senior buying law firm audience in information security in the UK. It is designed to meet the needs of key stakeholders and decision-makers responsible for protecting reputation and data, setting technology strategy, managing network and IT security operations, and developing information risk management frameworks. These needs are becoming more complex, expensive and onerous: as custodians of clients’ intellectual property, commercial secrets and market-moving deal details, law firms are unusually attractive to the most organised, professional hackers.

Law firms have responded. However, because of their structures, and because of the value of the information they hold, law firms will remain a high-priority target for the most persistent and skilled cyber-criminals. This event is designed to keep them one step ahead and to give them the information they need to maintain the client confidence on which their business depends.

The agenda provides practical advice and examples detailing how legal services firms can:

► Ensure security capabilities align with client’s expectations as attacks become more sophisticated and targeted

► Deliver heightened business performance whilst addressing the risks associated with evolving requirements from colleagues

► Enable increased productivity whilst maintaining control over the confidentiality and integrity of IT systems and data assets

► Securely take advantage of opportunities for cost reduction, such as cloud computing and IT outsourcing

Having wondered whether in a busy schedule I could afford the time to attend the event, I found it simulating, interesting and somewhat scary. It was certainly worth the investment in time.  Without exception, all the presenters had something to say that was relevant to my firm, and I took away a number of real nuggets which I am sure I will use.  The breakout seminars were also extremely useful, as was the opportunity to network with colleagues from other firms. All in all, a great day.
Head of Information Systems, Mills & Reeve LLP

Law firms need to have robust information security capabilities as their clients as they hold high-value data of interest to both domestic and foreign parties.

This was a great awareness raising event.  It was made clear that most Legal firms have a way to go before we can compare our information security measures to those of our clients, and that this is going to be an essential part of our ability to attract and retain business.  The content of the presentation was pitched correctly and there was a good mix of suppliers available to advise.
Head of ICT, Coffin Mew LLP

Experts from business plus the market’s leading service suppliers provide vendor-neutral plenary session strategic perspectives on how to solve existing and emerging challenges. Hands-on education seminars offer in-depth advice on specific issues and detail how technology can help and assist with a range of scenarios. Intensive networking takes place throughout the course of the event and during refreshment breaks and buffet lunch, all taken in the exhibition area.

It was a fantastic event with a high turn out. For a presenting Vendor the return has been almost instantaneous with two Meetings booked and 8 immediate follow up discussions. The content was excellent, extremely relevant and we will definitely be doing this event again.
